For my image essay I have decided to use the Wasteland by T.S. Eliot (Poem) as my main text. Within the poem, I found 'Part 5 - What the Thunder Said' really interesting. Especially the last two lines:
Datta. Dayadhvam. Damyata.
Shantih shantih shantih
These words come from the language Sanskrit, which originates from Hinduism. I come from an Indian background and therefore this part of the poem was particularly appealing to me.
The following explains what the words mean:
Datta: Give
Dayadhvam: Sympathise
Damyata: Control
Shantih: Peace
